Into the Wild

(Titling this post after the "Into Thin Air" might be geographically appropriate, but would think it might bring a bit of bad karma.... of course Into the Wild didn't have the happiest ever after ending either, did it?)

Today I had my first Yak Burger. I learned that saying "Tashi De-lay" instead of "Hello" makes the Tibetans smile. I discovered that even the monks can't figure out the Lonely Planet maps for their very own monastery. I bought a big, fat wool sweater and a hideous, practically disposable backpack for our Everest overnight.

I paid for my trip. We're off tomorrow! I'll be back next Tuesday night with more stories. Cheers!
